Dr. Marielle Young-Bernier is a clinical psychologist, specializing in neuropsychology. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology (Ph.D.) from the University of Ottawa in 2015. She completed her residency in clinical neuropsychology at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Dr. Young-Bernier started her career in Ottawa, Ontario, where she worked at CHEO (formerly known as the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario) and in private practice with the Orleans Psychological Health Team. In 2021, she decided to return home to New Brunswick. She worked as a neuropsychologist at The Moncton Hospital. She currently works at the NB FASD Centre of Excellence and has a small private practice in Dieppe. In private practice, Dr. Young-Bernier offers neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessment services to children, adolescents, and adults. She specializes in the assessment of the functional impact of brain injuries, neurological and genetic disorders, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, neuropsychiatric disorders (e.g., anxiety, depression), intellectual disabilities, ADHD, giftedness, as well as learning disabilities.
