Temporary Registration to Psychologists from Other Jurisdictions

Subject to the restriction set out in our By-Laws, CPNB may issue a courtesy license for no more than twenty-one (21) days per calendar year, to a psychologist who is licensed and in good standing in another Canadian jurisdiction and who wishes to practice psychology, in person, in New Brunswick on a temporary basis.  These 21 days are per calendar year and do not need to be continuous.  There is no fee for the courtesy license. Please note that a courtesy license is not required for telepsychology services if you are a psychologist licensed in another Canadian jurisdiction.  Please refer to this link for more information regarding telepsychology:  Telepsychology | College of Psychologists of New Brunswick (cpnb.ca).

Psychologists registered outside of a Canadian province or territory are expected to obtain a courtesy license to offer both in person and virtual services to clients in New Brunswick.

All information must be received before the application is reviewed and a courtesy license is issued.
