Profile Description

Dr. Campbell is a Full Professor in the Psychology Department (Saint John Campus) with the University of New Brunswick and a licensed clinical psychologist with a part-time private practice. She delivers assessment and intervention consultation services in two primary areas: forensic psychology and first responders. In the forensic psychology field, Dr. Campbell provides services to adolescents and adults involved with the criminal justice system (e.g., for sentencing purposes, fitness to stand trial/criminal responsibility) or at risk of such involvement. In particular, Dr. Campbell has particular expertise in the assessment and appraisal of risk for criminal behaviour, sexual offending, and violence, including the case management and intervention strategies intended to mitigate such risk. On the first responder side of her practice, Dr. Campbell provides pre-employment selection, specialty unit assignment, and psychological fitness for duty evaluations for law enforcement and other first responders organizations, as well as wellness checks for first responders. Finally, she regularly consults with government, police, and other crime prevention/reduction-focused agencies/organizations using evidence-based psychological knowledge.
