Profile Description
I opened a part-time private practice in 2013 with a focus on youth, adults, and the 2SLGBTQI+ population. I specialize in treating people of all ages experiencing primary mental health problems. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to anxiety disorders (OCD, PTSD, childhood onset anxiety), personality disorders, and 2SLGBTQI+ concerns. I have expertise in issues related to transgender health and am a member of both the Canadian Professional Association for Transgender Health (CPATH) and the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH). I am WPATH trained. I am also a founding member of the NB Transgender Health Network and the co-chair of the Provincial 2SLGBTQI+ Diversity and Inclusion Committee. I especially enjoy working with gender nonconforming youth and their families. I practice evidence based psychotherapy (psychological approaches that are based on scientific evidence) such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I have completed DBT Intensive Training with BehaviorTech.
