Governance

The Psychologists Act and its By-Laws set out the mandate, the composition, the roles and the responsibilities of Council and the Executive Committee as well as standing or permanent committees.

The affairs of the College of Psychologists of New Brunswick (CPNB) are managed by a Council.  The members of Council are the President, the President-Elect, the Past-President and five (5) Members at Large.  One (1) of these Members at Large is nominated by Council and appointed by the Minister of Health to represent the public.  All other members of Council are elected at the Annual General Meeting.

Council may appoint an Executive Committee with powers and duties as determined by Council.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is composed of the President, the President-Elect and two (2) Members at Large.

In fulfilling their mandates, Council and the Executive Committee direct and coordinate the work of a number of committees of CPNB as provided for in the Act and By-Laws.
